The Clothesline Project is a visual display to break the silence of violence against women. During the public display, a clothesline is hung with shirts, each one representing a particular woman’s experience. The community is invited to view and participate.
The purpose of the display is to:
~ Raise awareness about the extent of the problem of violence against women.
~ Educate on the different forms of violence against women.
~ Support the healing process of those who have lost loved ones and give a voice to the survivors.
~ Build a community network of support and resources
